Nicolas Thienpont bought the vineyard in 1988 specifically because of the old vines already in the ground, some now pushing 70+ years. It's a small parcel, hands-on winemaking, and it's been quietly proving for years that white Bordeaux from this side of the river deserves more attention than it gets.
