A Rich Family Heritage
Jean Josselin is a proudly independent, family-run Champagne house based in the village of Gyé-sur-Seine, in the heart of the Côte des Bar. The domaine was founded in 1957 by Jean Josselin, who left the local co-operative to produce and bottle his own Champagne—a bold move at the time. Today, the domaine is helmed by Jean-Pierre and his son Jean-Félix, the third generation. Together, they bring a blend of experience and fresh perspective to the business, with a focus on quality, sustainability, and authenticity.
Their Champagnes reflect a deep respect for tradition, while remaining open to innovation. With each generation, the Josselin family has built on the last—deepening the connection between the land, the vines, and the people behind the wine.

The vineyards span 14 parcels planted across the rolling limestone-clay hills of small village of Gyé-sur-Seine.
This is Pinot Noir country and over 80% of the family’s 11.7 hectares are planted to this noble grape. The remainder is Chardonnay and a small amount of Meunier, used for balance and texture.
