Champagne for the moments that deserve it most
Bulk ordering for weddings, events, gala dinners, and celebrations across New Zealand
Most event Champagne is chosen for convenience. Ours is chosen for the reaction it gets. Six independent French family estates, exclusively imported by Three French Vines. Extraordinary quality that your guests will notice, remember, and ask about. Available by the case, delivered nationwide, with volume pricing for larger orders.
Bulk Champagne Orders in New Zealand
There is a version of event planning where the Champagne is an afterthought—grabbed from a wholesaler, chosen on price, and forgotten the moment the glasses are cleared. And then there is the version where the Champagne becomes part of the occasion.
Three French Vines exists for the second version.
We are New Zealand's exclusive importer of six independent, family-owned Champagne estates from France. Our producers grow their own grapes, make their own wine, and bottle under their own name. When your guests ask where the Champagne is from—and they will ask—the answer is genuinely interesting.
We supply bulk orders for weddings, corporate events, gala dinners, milestone celebrations, fundraising dinners, award evenings, product launches, and private parties across New Zealand. Case pricing is available, volume discounts apply for larger orders, and we work directly with event planners, wedding coordinators, caterers, and venue managers.
Champagne for Weddings in New Zealand
Your wedding Champagne will be in more photographs than almost anything else from the day. It will be in guests' hands during the speeches. It will be the first thing poured after you say yes. It deserves more thought than a trip to the supermarket.
Our grower Champagnes offer something the big brands simply cannot: a story worth telling. Imagine your MC introducing the toast with a line about the 7th generation family estate in the Montagne de Reims whose Champagne is in every glass tonight. That is the kind of detail that elevates an evening.
We work with couples and wedding planners to select the right Champagne for the occasion, the budget, and the style of the event. Whether you want a single Champagne served throughout—reception drinks, toast, and dinner—or a curated selection across the evening, we'll help you plan it.
Popular wedding options:
- Monmarthe Secret de Famille Premier Cru Brut NV full, generous, and crowd-pleasing. A Premier Cru from a family farming in Champagne since 1737. Excellent value at scale.
- Jean Josselin Cuvée des Jean Extra-Brut NV precise, characterful, and food-friendly. Pinot Noir-dominant from the Côte des Bar.
- Marion-Bosser Rosé Premier Cru Brut NV a genuinely beautiful rosé Champagne for couples who want something a little different and a lot more elegant.
- Achille Princier Grande Réserve Brut NV balanced, approachable, and reliably excellent. A fifth-generation estate from Épernay with 17th century cellars.
We recommend ordering 1 bottle per 2 guests for a reception-style event, and 1 bottle per 3–4 guests for a seated dinner where Champagne is one of several wines being served.
Champagne for Gala Dinners & Corporate Events
A gala dinner is a statement. It tells your guests—your clients, your donors, your team—that this evening matters, that they matter, and that the organisation behind the event has standards and a certain manner of doing things. The Champagne in the glass is one of the clearest signals of all three.
Serving grower Champagne at a corporate gala is a choice that gets noticed. It says your organisation looked beyond the obvious and found something genuinely excellent. For fundraising galas, it gives the room something to talk about—and auction tables with a case of exclusive grower Champagne consistently outperform those featuring standard brands (our own assumption).
We work with event planners, hotel banquet teams, corporate event managers, and charity fundraisers across New Zealand to supply Champagne at scale. We can provide:
- Consistent case-quantity supply across all event dates
- Volume pricing for confirmed order quantities
- Reliable, tracked delivery directly to your venue or warehouse
- Product information cards and tasting notes for place settings or event programmes
- Staff briefing notes so your team can speak confidently about what's in the glass
For recurring events—annual galas, quarterly board dinners, regular client entertainment—we can establish an ongoing supply arrangement so you're never scrambling at the last minute.
Champagne for Parties & Private Celebrations
Not every occasion needs a formal plan—but the best celebrations always have great Champagne. Whether you're hosting a significant birthday, a New Year's Eve party, an engagement celebration, a baby shower, a retirement party, or simply a dinner for people you love, buying by the case makes sense in every way.
Buying Champagne by the case (6 bottles) is significantly more cost-efficient than buying individual bottles—both in terms of per-bottle price and delivery cost. It also means you won't run out at the wrong moment, which is the only Champagne-related disaster worth worrying about.
Our full case and mixed case options are available across all six of our Champagne houses. If you'd like help selecting a mix of styles for a party—something for the aperitif, something for the table, something for the toast—get in touch and we'll put together a recommendation.
How Bulk Ordering Works
Step 1: Choose your Champagne
Browse our range and select the bottles that suit your event, your guests, and your budget. If you're unsure, contact us and we'll recommend based on your occasion, guest count, and per-head budget.
Step 2: Add to cart by the case
All our bulk pricing is structured around case quantities (6 bottles). Add your required quantity to cart and volume pricing will be applied automatically, or contact us for a formal quote on larger orders.
Step 3: Confirm delivery details
Enter your delivery address at checkout. For venue deliveries, large volumes, or orders requiring delivery to a specific date or time window, contact us in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Step 4: We dispatch and track
All orders are fulfilled through our third-party logistics partner with full tracking. North Island delivery is typically 1 business day. South Island is approximately 2 business days. For large event orders, we recommend ordering in advance, at least 5–7 business days ahead of your event date.
For volume pricing enquiries, contact us at cellars@threefrenchvines.co.nz or tim@threefrenchvines.co.nz.
Yes. Volume discounts apply for larger case orders. Contact us at tim@threefrenchvines.co.nz with your event date, approximate quantity, and per-head budget and we'll provide pricing. The larger the order, the better the per-bottle rate we can offer.
As a general guide: allow 1 bottle per 2–3 guests for a reception or drinks-only event (approximately 5–6 glasses per bottle). For a seated dinner where Champagne is one of several wines being poured, allow 1 bottle per 4–5 guests. For a Champagne toast only, allow 1 bottle per 5–7 guests. We're happy to help you calculate the right quantity—just get in touch with your guest count and format.
We recommend ordering at least 1–2 weeks before your event date for standard orders. For large volume orders (50+ bottles), 2–3 weeks ahead is preferable to ensure we have sufficient stock confirmed. We import our Champagnes from France, so lead times for restocking can be longer than for locally sourced products. We hold plenty of stock in NZ, so supply should not be an issue.
Yes. Enter your venue address at checkout, or contact us if you have specific delivery window requirements or access instructions for the venue. For large event deliveries, it's worth contacting us in advance to coordinate.
Yes. We do hold a good volume of magnum bottles available, as well as 3000ml Jeroboam format—ideal for the wedding toast, a gala centrepiece, or a gift auction. A magnum pours approximately 10–12 glasses, and a Jeroboam pours approximately 20–24 glasses, and makes a striking visual statement.
Yes. We can provide tasting notes, producer stories, and background information on any of our Champagnes for inclusion in event programmes, place cards, or menus. Contact us with your requirements and we'll put together what you need.
Grower Champagne comes from producers who grow their own grapes and make their own wine—from vine to bottle. Unlike the major brands (Moët, Veuve Clicquot, Mumm, etc.), which buy grapes from hundreds of growers and blend them at scale, grower Champagnes reflect a specific place, family, and philosophy. They taste more distinctive, carry a genuine story, and are still unavailable in most New Zealand retail stores—making them a memorable and impressive choice for any event.
Yes. Mixed case orders are available. This can work well for events where you want variety; for example, a Blanc de Blancs for the aperitif, a Pinot Noir-dominant cuvée with dinner, and a Rosé for dessert. Contact us to discuss a curated selection for your event.
Yes. We work with hospitality businesses across New Zealand. If you're a venue, restaurant, or bar interested in adding our Champagnes to your list, visit our Trade Enquiries page or get in touch directly.
Absolutely. Our most approachable cuvées such as Monmarthe Secret de Famille, Achille Princier Grande Réserve, and Jean Josselin Cuvée des Jean, are generous, crowd-pleasing styles that will delight guests whether they're grower Champagne enthusiasts or lifelong Veuve drinkers. The quality difference is immediately apparent, without being alienating.
Yes. This is exactly what we're here for. Whether you know exactly what you want or have no idea where to start, get in touch with your event details (date, guest count, format, budget) and we'll recommend the right Champagne, quantity, and ordering timeline.
